Brent Elementary School Design Work

Posted: March 9, 2016

I am writing with a request.  I am an alum of Miami University (as are my three children!) and a teacher in a Title I school in the northern hills area of Cincinnati.  Specifically, I teach in the K-2 building in the Finneytown Local School District.

As we are implementing the PBIS framework (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) into our school building to build an environment of clear and consistent expectations to optimize learning, we are in need of the services of a graphic artist.  Specifically, artwork must be designed that would include our wildcat cub with the printed expectations for all areas of our school.  As you might guess, the expectations for the restroom for our young students is quite different than those in the cafeteria, as an example!

It comes as no surprise that funding is always an issue.  I’m approaching you in the hopes that this might be a wonderful, real-life application project for one or more of your students.  In considering this request, it is important to note that we would need the artwork in time to have posters printed and hung in the school by mid-August in time for the start of the 2016-17 academic year.

Please let me know if there is any interest at all from your department, and thanks so much in advance for your consideration of this request.
