Camp Sunrise Design

Posted: June 27, 2016

My name is Lisa Kollins and I’m a volunteer with Camp Sunrise, the only camp in Ohio for youth touched by HIV/AIDS (http://www.sunrisekids.org/) .  Each summer, the week-long camp (offered free of charge for kids ages 7-17) welcomes campers from across the state for a very special week of hugs, laughter, swimming and sports, arts and crafts, campfires, and support.

This year, we are celebrating the superheroes in each of us as our theme and we have a special project planned where the campers will design their own superhero alter-ego.  We’ve sent out a call for graphic designers who will volunteer to turn the kids’ ideas into a professional design, and we’re hoping you can share the attached invitation with Miami faculty, students and alumni of the graphic design program.   Students and young designers are especially welcome to participate!

Any help you can give us by posting the announcement will be very appreciated – and if you’re able to join the fun and provide a design, that would be great as well.

Feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions – my contact info is on the flyer.
