My name is Maddie Stevens, and I’m an account manager at the full-service advertising/PR agency, Doe-Anderson, Inc., in Louisville, KY. We are currently accepting applications for our Summer 2015 internship program. Attached is the internship’s description and I’ve also included a description of what each position entails.

Please let me know if you can communicate this to your students this week. We’d like to start interviewing ASAP.

Thanks!

Doe-Anderson Internship Program 2015
Framework and Overview

Doe-Anderson Inc. is one of the oldest continuously operating advertising agencies in the United States and has served iconic brands such as Maker’s Mark bourbon and Hillerich & Bradsby, makers of Louisville Slugger bats and equipment. Currently, about 90 employees are on staff to offer clients top-notch communication services including brand positioning, strategic planning, creative execution, media buying and planning, digital services, print and broadcast production and public relations.

Doe-Anderson’s 2015 internship program will employ rising seniors or post-graduates in the following positions during 10 weeks of the summer beginning in May and ending in August. Interns will be required to be present in the agency Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Compensation is $1,500 over the course of their 10-week internship.

POSITIONS:

  • Account Services Intern
  • Public Relations Intern
  • Media/Planning Intern
  • Digital Project Management Intern
  • Copywriting Intern
  • Design Intern

The program will consist of two components:

  1. Work with another company’s intern class and/or marketing department to solve a real-world client communications challenge. The team will serve as an agency inside our agency to work with the company to determine their marketing issue, develop a plan to solve it using each position’s skills (account service, PR, media planning, creative), and then execute the plan.
  2. Interns will also shadow agency employees in their respective departments to work on agency client’s work and become acclimated to agency culture and processes.

Interns will have at least two main supervisors throughout their 10-week program and can earn college credit if necessary. Interested applicants should email Maddie Stevens (mstevens@doeanderson.com) a resume, work samples (if available), dates available to begin this summer as well as which department they are interested in interning (account, PR, media/planning, digital project management, copywriting, design).
