Rhoback Activewear Print Design Intern
Job Description:
Rhoback is looking for a talented and proactive Print Design Intern to join the team.
The Print Design Intern should have an incredible eye for design and color while being able to ideate creatively, constantly bring new ideas to the table and execute efficiently.
This role will be based in Charlottesville, VA for the Summer of 2024 (May-August). This individual will be working with the Design and Merchandising teams while reporting to the Print Design Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Print Design Intern include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in creating successful prints across Rhoback various men’s and women’s apparel lines from conception through finished product
- Constantly seek design inspiration and research market trends
- Support the design team in organizing and maintaining print design library
- Demonstrate an understanding of print design, printing techniques and soft good materials
- Be able to work within seasonal color stories/palettes
- Provide feedback within design critiques and handle feedback from teammates with ease
- Gain deep understanding of the Rhoback brand and customer
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recent college graduate in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design or related field
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong portfolio of work
- Strong knowledge and sense of color
- Well organized and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Works well with others in a collaborative environment
- Propensity to go above and beyond and think outside the box
- Openness to change and new ways of solving problems
- No-task-too-small attitude
- Use of Wacom tablet and hand drawing skills are a bonus
